Features
Though we planned to have three main characters for this project, we could easily say that Egil was the center point of the group.
As the brave and brash character, he often takes the lead whenever the group's challenged, whether it's wise or not.

Egil was meant to be designed as a typical main character. A rather basic/recognizable face in combination with medium-long, brown hair did the trick.
The concept phase went a bit strenuous, so after several tries, but not truly getting the idea down, I decided to go ahead and just start in Z-Brush. The result thereof is what's now Egil.

I did not design or model Egil's clothes. This was done by my classmate.

Development
Egil

Physical Traits: Shoulder width above average, medium-long hair, average waist, leg muscle strength above average
Personality: Brave, but reckless. Tends to be a bit lax.
Not one to give up easily.

He has calmed down a bit thanks to his friendship with Arni and Linnea

3D
My Role
For Egil, I designed his head and also modeled it in 3D.
Although I didn't design or model the clothes, I did texture them.

To the right are the textures for Egil and his clothes.
Utilizing a Z-Brush workflow allowed us to use normal maps, but we decided not to use them.
The high-polys created in Z-Brush were mainly used to bake other additional maps, such as Ambient Occlusion, Curvature and World Space Normal, which we required to use Baked Lighting for some objects.
It also functioned as reference for me to manually paint the depth in the 3D-objects.

The choice not to use any other maps except for colors was made to make everything look unlit and stylized.
Egil's texture consists of two 1024x1024 texture maps for the clothes and a 2048x2048 texture map for his head.
